Denson’s is a 3rd generation family-owned and operated busines
Established in 2011.
Denson's Grocery was originally established in 1912 by Fred and Jetta Denson. In 1945 their son Bernard (Affectionately know as Boozie) and his wife Anne took over the reigns of what would be a family tradition. Their children, Jetta, Carole Ann, and Rocky assisted in the everyday operation. The business was sold in 1980.
In 2011, Rocky and his wife Blaire decided to return to the Denson family roots, but they knew and understood that operating a traditional "Mom and Pop" grocery was not a viable option. Their goal was to offer quality food products not normally found in mainstream grocery stores. They identified and located some of the finest food purveyors in the area and introduced Colonial Beach to "FRESH".
Our mission continues to be providing quality foods with a focus on healthy living. The 1st and 2nd generations were committed to making a positive difference within the community by providing quality groceries and service. The 3rd generation shares that goal with a new focus on healthy, gourmet selections.
